Great Western Americana & Roots Music
Playing stringed instruments along with harmonica, cigar-enhanced vocals, and foot-stomping percussion, Jalan fills the sonic space of a small ensemble. Quirky original songs and traditional tunes recall the sounds of John Hartford, Doc Watson, and John Prine.
Jalan Crossland: Vocals, Guitar, Banjo, Harmonica, Foot Percussion, Yearns, Lies, and Exaggerations
Along with dozens of regional contest awards, Jalan Crossland’s extraordinary guitar playing has earned National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship honors, the State Flatpick Championship title of his home state, and in recognition of his contribution to the arts in Wyoming, he was the first musician bestowed with the Governor’s Arts Award.
