Lux String Quartet: An Evening of Show Tunes, Movies, Pop and Classical

Nov 19 | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Dinner and drinks service starts 1 hour before showtimes.

A Delightful Evening of Classical, Pop, Show Tunes and more

Described by audiences as “lyrical and exhilarating,” Lux will bring to life music from the 1960s to today, in a fun set showcasing how the string quartet shines in any musical genre. Long before Bridgerton, string quartets were playing arrangements of pop and rock music; Lux will dive into those arrangements, hits by Simon and Garfunkle to Taylor Swift. Alongside pop will be highlights from Broadway shows such as Phantom of the Opera, and hits from the big blockbuster soundtracks including John Williams’ Harry Potter Theme. Lux rounds out the concert with exciting, surprising, beautiful and rhythmic classical music from the last 60 years – works by South American masters Piazzolla and Villa-Lobos, new up and coming stars of the last decade such as Gabriella Smith, and arrangements of Scandinavian folk tunes. Join us in an evening celebrating all of our favorite music, and the vibrancy and kinetic energy of the string quartet sound!

Stephanie Skor and Ellen Hacker: Violins

Kirsti Petraborg: Viola

Rosa Thompson-Vieira: Cello
