Sought after for his command of the guitar, his unique sound, and his soulful approach, Park Evans—a native of Ithaca, New York—had a long lasting musical tenure in Minneapolis. He performed with multiple groups in the Midwest, including bassist Chris Morrisey’s quartet (Norah Jones, Mark Giuliani), Corey Palmer & Love Trade, New Primitives, as well as collaborating with cello duo Michelle Kinney & Jacqueline Ultan, guitarist Mike Michel (The Orange Goodness), and legendary bassist Anthony Cox (Stan Getz, John Scofield). He now calls Seattle home and performs around the U.S. and Canada with vintage swing/r&b outfit Birch Pereira and the Gin Joints. Known for his cinematic and poignant compositions, he has released 6 albums of original music and has also worked as a studio musician on numerous sessions—including jazz, rock, alt-country, reggae, and folk.
