Audrey Q plays Fiona Apple: Tidal

On the 30th anniversary of its release, hear alt-pop visionary Fiona Apple’s Tidal album like you’ve never heard it before. Cellist and singer-songwriter Audrey Q will perform her own arrangements of the album in its entirety, reimagining “Criminal,” “Shadowboxer,” and more with an instrumentation of 3 cellos and drums. Using both the widely-loved and lesser-known sonic capabilities of her instrument, Audrey Q will paint a colorful new version of an incredible album.

Audrey Q writes off-kilter, classically-informed pop songs for her own voice, 3 cellos, and drums. An avid arranger of her favorite music, she has performed full album cover shows of Neil Young’s After the Gold Rush, Carole King’s Tapestry, and Peter Gabriel’s So. Her credits as a cellist include touring as a side player with The Who and a pit musician with Hamilton, and she continues to perform in a variety of styles and spaces throughout the Twin Cities.
