Don Powell Presents: COLE PORTER… NIGHT AND DAY
Don Powell and music director Adi Yeshaya invite audiences into an unforgettable, story driven celebration of Cole Porter—the brilliant, mischievous, heartbreakingly human composer whose songs defined elegance, wit, and romance for generations. This production doesn’t just present Porter’s music. It reveals the man behind the melodies: his triumphs, his tragedies, his glittering highs and devastating lows. Through vivid storytelling and more than 33 of Cole Porter’s greatest hits, the show traces Porter’s entire career—from his early promise to his Broadway dominance, from his glamorous Paris years to the resilience he showed after his life altering accident. Powell’s portrayal of Porter has also been part of a larger theatrical work. In 2023, he starred in Night & Day, a new musical on the life of Cole Porter, which took six years to complete.
This project, arranged and orchestrated by Adi Yeshaya, features Powell’s vocal performances alongside ‘three most talented musicians. It blends Porter’s life story with his music, offering both biographical context and musical tributes.
