Maria Jette soprano
Timothy Lovelace piano
Maria Jette’s lengthy and varied vocal career spans orchestral, oratorio, chamber music and lots and lots of song. Her 45+ operatic roles range from Monteverdi’s Poppea and Handel’s Cleopatra through Mozart’s Pamina, Susanna and Fiordiligi, many of them with the late, lamented Ex Machina Antique Music Theatre, where for many merry seasons she portrayed goddesses, sorceresses and mermaids in the Twin Cities. Pianist Timothy Lovelace heads the Collaborative Piano program at the U of MN, and is a busy recitalist in the Twin Cities, all over the US and abroad. He’s a regular chamber music guest with MN Orchestra and SPCO players; has played for a fabulous roster of international singing stars; conducts and composes; has a long list of recordings on six labels; and is beloved by Twin Cities singers!
