Charmin Michelle was born in Birmingham, Alabama, moved to Minnesota while still a child and has called it home ever since. Classically trained in piano, violin and flute, she transitioned into singing in the early nineties performing in jazz clubs throughout the Twin Cities. Though based in Minneapolis, she is no stranger to life on the road and began touring internationally in 1986. She has performed at jazz festivals and clubs throughout Spain and France performing with noted jazz musicians such as the late Mulgrew Miller, Kirk Lightsey, Harry Allen, Grant Stewart, and Eric Alexander.
