Join Fr. Vito and friends for a slightly unhinged evening of stand-up comedy, Elvis songs and stories that probably should have stayed in Vegas. Featuring Tom Esch as Fr Vito, Mary Esch as Miss Bunnyman, Sid Smaka as Frank Fuggadeli and Todd Anderson as Elvis.
Tom Esch has done “mostly clean” comedy as Fr. Vito since 2017 at venues such as Crooners, the Bryant Lake Bowl, The Temple of Fashion (St. Paul) and Solomon’s Porch (Minneapolis). He is an actual former Roman Catholic priest. He is a spin-off from Fr. Guido Sarducci, with his own original presence, edgy crowd work and capacity to uncover the humor hiding under the pain. His mission is to serve and inspire those who feel disconnected from their original religious experience.
Mary Esch has been participating in the Twin Cities performance-art community for 20 years. She played a role in Krista Walsh’s 2003 “Windmills and Mirrors”, Intermedia Arts, Mpls. She choreographed and danced in Josie Winship’s 2004, “Don’t Conceal, Reveal!, Fringe Festival, Mpls. Her character, Mrs. Bunnyman, was born in 2018 for The Fr. Vito show. God help her.
Sid Smaka studied music, dance and theater in high school and at the University of Minnesota. Musical performance at The Caboose in Minneapolis. He is a multi-talented artist with a huge stage presence. His comedic intuitions were honed at home, which we all know is the toughest audience anywhere.
Todd Anderson has been performing as Elvis in the Twin Cities for 26 years. Todd channels the spirit of Elvis with polished vocals, sharp comic timing, and decades of professional stage experience. A veteran entertainer, he blends iconic Presley style with playful ensemble chemistry to deliver highenergy, theaterready performances that leave audiences tingling with excitement.
