Twin Cities vocalist Nichole Carey makes her solo Dunsmore Room debut with an evening of songs and stories inspired by the beauty, nostalgia, and magic of her favorite season. Joined by acclaimed local pianist Jennifer Parker, Carey celebrates autumn through an eclectic mix of jazz standards, singer-songwriter classics, and beloved pop tunes made famous by Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Carole King, Paul Simon, The Beatles, Stevie Nicks, Bette Midler, and more. Nichole is known for her warm contralto voice, engaging storytelling, and heartfelt interpretations. Grab your favorite cozy sweater and enjoy an intimate evening of music, reflection, and all things autumn.

Singer, writer, and director Nichole Carey is a familiar presence on Twin Cities stages, known for creating performances that blend music, storytelling, humor, and heart. A former member of the Twin Cities Cabaret Artists Network and an alumni of the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University, she has performed at venues across the Midwest and beyond, including Crooners, the Dakota Jazz Club, Jazz Central Studios, Acadia Cafe, Vieux Carré, Davenport’s Piano Bar & Cabaret in Chicago, and The Duplex in New York City. Carey is the co-founder of Alchemy Arts and the creator of the annual holiday favorite “A Very Carey Christmas Cabaret,” which received a 2025 BroadwayWorld Minnesota Award nomination.

Jen Parker has enjoyed a varied music career as an educator, performer, arranger, and songwriter. In 2019, Parker was commissioned to write and premier her composition and arrangement, This Make Believe in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the Jazz Education Network. Her first full-length album of original songs, “The Rest of Me” includes the song, Sign of Life which premiered in the 2015 Minneapolis film festival as part of the documentary My Dream, My Right.
