Classic Jazz Standards

These seasoned masters of classic jazz may also be dubbed as purists who remain true to the foundations of the genre. The set will include standards from musical greats such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Mongo Santamaria.

Ahmed Abdulkarim has been performing music his entire life. He began on the piano, and then moved around from the bugle to the trombone before finally settling on the trumpet in 1956. Trumpet jazz is where he truly found his voice. Ahmed previously studied under Manny Laureano of the Minnesota Symphony and has performed at legendary venues including First Ave, The Dakota, and The Stand in NYC.
