Comedic Cabaret

What do the following artists have in common? The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, Barry Manilow, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Sondheim, Disney, The Police, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, Elton John, Eva Cassidy, Bobby Darin, Ray Charles, Laura Branigan. They have all written songs using first names as their titles. And we’re going to sing them! Join Jen, Andy and special guest, Randi Rexroth for an eclectic evening with 80% Music + 20% comedy = 100% Fun!

Jen Maren is an actress, singer, and Voiceover talent. Known for her role of Marjorie Congdon in Glensheen at The History Theatre, she has also appeared on many Twin Cities Stages including: Guthrie Theater, Ordway Theatre, Penumbra Theatre, Mixed Blood, Old Log Theater, Illusion Theater, Park Square Theatre, Children’s Theater Company.

Dr. Andrew Fleser, pianist and teacher, has performed as a soloist and accompanist throughout the United States and Europe. He has worked with many theaters in the Twin Cities, including Minnesota Orchestra, Children’s Theatre Company, History Theatre, and Park Square Theatre. His performances can be heard on Minnesota Public Radio, A Prairie Home Companion, and Cantus’s albums A Harvest Home and Manifesto.

Randi Rexroth is a choir director who moonlights as a singer whenever she can. She has spent the last 28 years conducting kids and adults around the Twin Cities. Randi is the Artistic Director of The Twin Cities Women’s Choir where she gets to experience deep humor and a deep love of singing with 120 women every week. She has performed with The Southside Aces at The Dakota and Crooners and recently performed her original song “Santa’s New Suit” with the Aces and her daughter.
