Mark Bloom and Geoff Jones first met over twenty years ago when Mark accompanied Sounds of Blackness “alums” Geoff and Cynthia Johnson on a special Valentine’s Day performance. Over the years Jones and Bloom’s abundant music and theater credentials range from actor, arranger, composer, director, music director, producer to voiceover artist. They include projects for Disney and productions at the Guthrie, Illusion, New Classic and Park Square theaters. Their current partnership began shortly after Mark brought the Sounds of Blackness to Temple Israel to present his “gospel styled” shabbat service. Jones and Bloom’s Culture Zoom “converts” that sacred work into a secular experience.
